We're so glad you found us. To make your first visit smooth, you can create an account and sign your waiver online ahead of time here. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early gives you a chance to settle in, meet your teacher, and get comfortable in our space.
Absolutely not. No yoga experience is required to practice at YOCO — we have classes designed for people who have never set foot on a mat.
For someone completely new to yoga, YOCO Foundations is our strongest recommendation. Teachers spend more time breaking down poses, transitions, and the connection between breath and movement, so you'll have more support along the way.
YOCO Restore is another very approachable option if you're looking for something slower, gentler, and more restorative.
YOCO Flow 1 can also be a great fit for beginners who are comfortable learning through a flowing, vinyasa-style class. There's plenty of instruction and demonstration built in.
If you already have some familiarity with vinyasa yoga or are looking for a quicker, more challenging practice, you might enjoy YOCO Flow 2.
These are suggestions, not rules. If you're ever unsure, just ask us — we're happy to help you find the right fit.
Here's a quick guide to help you choose:
These are starting points, not prerequisites. There's no required order, and you're always welcome to mix and match based on what you need that day. If you'd like a personal recommendation, just ask us — we love helping students find their fit.
These are our four core class formats. Here's what each one is about:
YOCO Foundations
The best starting point for someone brand new to yoga, returning after time away, or wanting more instruction. Teachers spend more time breaking down poses, transitions, and the connection between breath and movement.
YOCO Flow 1
A vinyasa-style class with a steady, approachable pace. Movement and breath are connected throughout, with enough instruction and demonstration to help you understand what you're doing. A great next step after Foundations — and a solid choice for newer students who are comfortable learning in a flowing class.
YOCO Flow 2
Builds on the poses and transitions from YOCO Flow 1. Expect a faster pace, more creative sequencing, more challenging poses, or some combination of the three. You may spend less time breaking down familiar poses and have more opportunities to explore.
YOCO Restore
A gentle, restorative class designed for slowing down. It's appropriate for seasoned practitioners, beginners, people who don't think of themselves as yoga people, and anyone who simply wants a softer practice.
These are different experiences, not achievement levels. You don't have to work your way through them in order.
We designed our class names to make it easy to know what you're signing up for before you arrive. A class title might look like:
YOCO FLOW 1 | WARM | MUSIC
Here's what each heat label means:
Temperatures are approximate and can naturally fluctuate slightly. You can look for HOT, WARM, or UNHEATED directly in the class title when viewing the schedule. See our full Class Heat Key.
If MUSIC is not listed in the title, check the individual class listing for more details about that session.
No problem at all — we have options for every comfort level.
Look for WARM or UNHEATED in the class title when browsing the schedule. These labels are built right into the class name so it's easy to spot at a glance.
You can also visit our Class Heat Key for a full breakdown of what to expect in each environment.
We practice barefoot, so you can leave your shoes at the door and step onto your mat just as you are.
A light snack an hour or two before class usually feels best. Eating a big meal right before practice can make movement less comfortable, so listen to your body and do what feels right for you.
Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early is ideal for your first visit. Our doors open about 30 minutes before class, giving you time to settle in, find a good spot, and meet your teacher.
Arrive a little early if you can. Our doors open about 30 minutes before class, giving you time to settle in and get comfortable.
Bring water and remember to hydrate before, during, and after class. Taking care of yourself is always encouraged.
Let your teacher know if you have any injuries, limitations, or medical conditions. We're here to support you and want to make sure you feel safe and cared for.
For our heated classes, students need to be at least 16 years old. If you're under 18 and want to join an adult class, we ask that a parent or guardian comes along with you.
Students under 18 require a parent or guardian to sign a separate waiver, found here.
Parents are asked to email confirmation of receipt to hello@yocoyogacollective.com to ensure it is appropriately linked to their child's record.
Please check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program, including heated yoga. Your health and safety matter, and only you and your healthcare provider can decide what's right for you.
If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns, let your teacher know before class. We want every student to feel supported and safe.
Not ready for the heat? Our UNHEATED classes are a great option to explore yoga in a more comfortable environment.
