Camp YOCO: The Spring Field Trip Series!

If you’ve ever heard me call Pittsburgh the Paris of Appalachia, I mean it with my whole heart.
There’s a reason this city continues to grow in recognition—gorgeous views, iconic bridges, rich history, deeply passionate communities, and some of the best local food spots tucked into every neighborhood. (And honestly… Dolly Parton buying Kennywood, Idlewild, and Sandcastle? That just confirms what we already knew.)
But beyond all of that, Pittsburgh is a place meant to be experienced.
And at YOCO, we believe movement doesn’t stop at the studio doors.
Camp YOCO is our newest community-based offering—a monthly outdoor meetup designed to connect movement, mindfulness, and community right here in Pittsburgh.
This isn’t a “class.”
It’s not a “workout.”
It’s:
Moving your body outside
Exploring new (or familiar) corners of the city
Resetting your energy before the week begins
Join us on the last Sunday of every month as we take a field trip together—led by me, your Camp Counselor Caitie.
There’s a reason this idea wouldn’t leave my brain.
Science continues to show that:
Spending time outdoors reduces stress and anxiety.
Walking improves mood, creativity, and mental clarity.
Community connection supports long-term emotional well-being.
At YOCO, we talk a lot about community—but this is what it looks like in real life.
Fresh air.
Movement.
Conversation.
Shared energy.
This is yoga, too.
Each month, we’ll explore a different Pittsburgh location—think:
Scenic walking trails (hello, river views)
City overlooks and hidden gems
Parks, bridges, and neighborhood routes
Optional coffee, snacks, or bites after
Our first field trip will meet at Washington’s Landing Public Tennis Courts with a walk along the Allegheny Passage—one of the most beautiful and accessible routes in the city.
Expect:
A relaxed, welcoming vibe (come solo or bring a friend)
Light movement (walk at your own pace)
Natural conversation + connection
Zero pressure, all community
If you’re wondering if this is “for you,” it is.
Camp YOCO is for:
YOCO students/teachers who want to connect outside the studio
Anyone looking for community in Pittsburgh
People who love walking, exploring, and being outside
Those wanting a soft reset before the week begins
No yoga experience required.
No expectations.
Just show up.
My favorite Sundays have always been simple:
A walk somewhere beautiful.
Something interesting to look at.
A moment that feels grounding and inspiring.
Camp YOCO is built from that exact feeling—and now we get to share it together.
